Did you know that the world’s largest stone sundial is located in India? At Jantar Mantar Observatory in Jaipur, is a 27 m tall stone structure called ‘Vrihat Samrat Yantra’, meaning: ‘great sovereign instrument’. It It is aligned exactly with the latitude of Jaipur and is said to measure time with a precision of upto two seconds. It was built by King Sawai Jai Singh-II in 1734.
